I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Ecology and Biodiversity, a seamless progression following the completion of my Bachelor’s degree, also in Ecology, at the University of Göttingen. I have a big personal interest in ornithology and spend many hours walking around the surroundings of Innsbruck at sunrise.

Since I am very interested in almost everything related to nature and biology, it is no surprise that my master’s thesis deals with a topic that was quite unknown to me. My master’s thesis explores the big topic of nectar competition between honey bees and wild bees. To break this question down into smaller parts, I do nectar measurements on plants and analyse flower visitation frequency of honeybees and wild bees.

Research topics
Bees
Biodiversity
Conservation biology
Ornithology
Pollination ecology
