My research has a focus on conservation, community and population ecology of vertebrates (mainly birds, amphibians) and selected insect groups (Odonata, Saltatoria). Current projects deal with long term changes in bird communities of mountain villages due to changes in land-use patterns, with the influence of climate warming on distribution patterns of grasshoppers in the Austrian Alps, and with population ecology and population genetics of Coenagrion hylas, an endangered odonate species.
