After finishing my bachelor’s degree at the Philipps University of Marburg, Germany, it was clear to me that I wanted to learn more about our environment and the different interactions between organisms. I decided to pursue this interest at the University of Innsbruck, as I am especially interested in mountain environments and the life under these alpine conditions. Additionally, I love spending time in the mountains, especially with my dog.

I had the opportunity to learn more about bats during an internship last summer, which inspired me to focus my master’s thesis on these fascinating animals. My master’s thesis examines the influence of hemeroby on the species composition and occurrence of bats in Innsbruck. Together with Eva Orpel and Lisa Jung, I audio-record and catch bats all over Innsbruck from April to September.
