Growing up in a small town in Vorarlberg, surrounded by nature, shaped my early interest in the environment. Ever since I was a kid, nothing felt better than being outside. I spent most of my childhood in the garden: playing soccer, jumping on the trampoline or climbing trees.
During school, I discovered my interest in biology, greatly influenced by an inspiring biology teacher who shared his enthusiasm for natural science. This experience played a key role in shaping my academic path.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Innsbruck and I’m currently working on my master’s thesis, which focuses on pathogens of wild and honey bees, together with PhD student Fabian Royer. In the future, I aim to combine research and environmental education to raise awareness of ecological issues and climate change.
